FAQ

Merch? Swag?
To purchase 2021 Conference merchandise and memorabilia (coffee mugs, shirts, notebooks, stickers, acrylic blocks, pillows, leggings, . . .), check out the V. Woolfiana shop on Redbubble. Orders placed through Redbubble will ship directly to you. Any revenue we generate through merchandise sales will be donated to the International Virginia Woolf Society. The artwork was created by Michelle Lansdale and designed by Emily Fisher. (Note: when you click on one of the items, scroll down the item’s page to “Also available on” and “View this design on X+ products” to see a range of other items you can purchase with the same design.)

How are we conferencing?
The conference will take place entirely over Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, I ask that you reference this online document, which will get you started.

Zoom? Links?
Links for individual sessions will be sent out via email to registrants on Wednesday the 9th (for sessions on Thursday the 10th), on Thursday the 10th (for sessions on Friday the 11th), and so on. Registrants, please do not distribute these links.

Chairs? Moderators? Hosts?
Each panel session has at least two (many have three) support team members: a session chair, a chat moderator, and a Zoom room host. Some of my colleagues at USD are doubling as Zoom room hosts and chat moderators. Last Thursday, I put all panelists in touch with their support team members.

Time Zones?

All times listed in the conference program correspond to Eastern Daylight Time (New York). We recommend the website World Time Buddy (there’s also an app!) to calculate time zone conversion.

Recordings?

Zoom room hosts have been asked to record the sessions they’ve been assigned. These recordings will be made available to conference registrants temporarily so that they may watch and listen to sessions they missed. (I’m still working on the best way to make these recordings temporarily available.)

Session and Presentation Guidelines?

Support team members and presenters have a lot of flexibility to run their sessions as they see fit, but I encourage them to review the guidelines available on the Conference Portal. Attendees may also wish to review these guidelines.
