Digital Accessibility Staff Training Series
Training Dates: December 18-20, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. CDT Project Due Date: Dec. 29, 2023
Location: UCE 116 or over Zoom (https://usd.zoom.us/j/995212556)
Overall goal: Your documents will pass with a minimum Ally score of 90% with no serious errors. The reading order must also be correct.

Requirements: Adobe Acrobat Pro or FoxIt PDF Editor 12; MS Office (2017 or newer)
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:
1) identify non-accessible electronic documents by using automated checking tools
2) remediate non-accessible electronic documents, and learn to create accessible documents
3) create accessible event posters and flyers from CANVA or InDesign (day 3)
4) understand how screen reading software works
5) create accessible PDFs from MS Office documents
6) apply solutions to non-accessible PDF forms

Welcome. Digital Accessibility Staff Series participants will receive a $100 stipend for attending all workshops which will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. CST, Monday, Dec. 18th through Wednesday, Dec. 20th and successfully completing activities and participating in discussions. An additional $100 stipend will be available upon completion of a project on or before Friday, December 29th, 2023.
