Pain Neuroscience Education

Our lab (Therapeutic Neuroscience Research Group) is interested in various components of Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE). We explore various methods with delivery of PNE to patients with chronic pain but also are looking into effects on pain education with providers and too healthy individuals. TNRG

Therapeutic Alliance

My dissertation focus was on the effects of trust within the therapeutic alliance between patient and clinician. We are exploring ways to measure and improve outcomes through therapeutic alliance.

Tactile Acuity Measurement

Our student groups have explored various testing procedures for tactile acuity through different two-point discrimination methods along with exploring newer methods such as localization.

Duel Task Assessment

I have been involved with Dr. Brandon Ness with his work looking into duel task testing with athletic populations and return to sport testing.

VR use in clinical decision making

I have been involved with Dr. Aaron Hartstein with his work on using Virtual Reality for case based learning to enhance clinical reasoning skills for physical therapy students.
