Otter AI uses an AI Meeting Assistant to transcribe meetings in real time, record audio, capture slides, extract action items, and generate an AI meeting summary and transcript. Get started for free with Otter Basic. Pro version is available for qualifying students.
Readspeaker is integrated into D2L and provides free text to speech translation through three tools- DocReader, WebReader, and TextAid. You have have exam questions, discussions, and course documents read back to you using high quality artificial voices.
USD students get a free basic version of Zoom for personal and educational use. Zoom has live real-time AI generated captions available and AI generated speech to text written transcripts.
Microsoft Teams is a team collaboration application developed by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products, offering workspace chat and video conferencing, and file storage. Teams has real time captions and many built-in accessibility features. USD students get access for free. Log-into Office.com with your USD credentials.
YuJa Panorama is built into D2L and provides students with free Alternative Download Feature that can ingest, inspect, and convert a variety of file formats including: PDF, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, HTML files, image files (JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BPM, TIFF), OpenOffice/LibreOffice files, and Rich Text content (WYSIWYG/VTBE).
Bookshare provides a huge collection of audiobooks, course books, and ebooks for learners of all abilities. They offer a free reading app for web browsers, smartphones, tablets, and Alexa-enabled smart speakers. Electronic course books are available for free for qualified students when a print version is purchased. Our office can provide a free account and sign you up for free electronic versions of your textbooks if you have a qualifying disability.
