I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California, is a highly motivated individual with a passion for high-fidelity simulations, uncertainty quantification, and machine learning, especially in high dimensions and rare data scenarios. Currently, I am engaged in research to build probabilistic models for multiscale simulations using tools including polynomial chaos expansion (PCE) and state-of-art machine learning (ML) methods.
2016-2020 Bachelor's Degree in Energy & Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China
2020-present Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering, University of Southern California, USA
Multi-scale Stochastic Modeling, Conditioning, and Simulation of rare events
Distinguished Membership of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is the highest honor ASCE can bestow, and only 12 people can receive this honor every year. Congratulations, Dr. Ghanem! As a team member, I feel honored and proud to have learned so much from you, not only in research but also in life. Your well-deserved recognition is also an inspiration to us all.
The Defense and Aerospace Test and Analysis (DATA) Workshop is the result of a multi-organization collaboration with the Director of Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E) within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), and the Section on Statistics in Defense and National Security (SDNS) of the American Statistical Association (ASA). The workshop is strategically designed to strengthen the community by applying rigorous statistical approaches to test design and data analysis in the fields of defense and aerospace.
