USC Math Directed Reading Program

The USC math directed reading program is a semester-long program where one (or two) undergraduate participant reads a math textbook with guidance from a graduate math student. The undergraduate student and their graduate mentor meet weekly during the semester. At the end of the semester, the undergraduate student gives a 12-minute presentation on the topic that they have studied. The program is a good complement to courses offered by the department for those looking to explore math not covered in a standard course.

The Spring 2024 DRP Symposium will be held on April 22nd from 6:30pm-8:45pm at KAP 414.
