We are always excited to have passionate people join us! We are an interdisciplinary team and we welcome people from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Biology, Applied Math, and beyond!

Prospective PhD applicants

1. Submit a complete official application to ECE PhD by December 15 for Fall admissions

   • We will begin interview in December. Fellowship recommendation decisions will be made by early February. RA offer decisions will be made in March. 

   • Spring admissions are normally not considered, but contact Prof. Qian if you have unusual circumstances

2. In application form, list Prof. Feifei Qian as a faculty member of interest

   • Feel free to list other faculty as well if you desire

3. List Robotics and Autonomous Systems as Area of Interest

4. In statement of purpose, elaborate your interests and ideas in our lab's research

UG/MS students already at USC
