Violation of these standards can result in your being brought before the Student Judicial Affairs and Community Standards Review Panel.
Cheating. Cheating on examinations, projects, or papers, consists of knowingly receiving, using, or attempting to give, receive, or use, unauthorized assistance.
Plagiarism. Plagiarism is a form of cheating. It is the use of another person’s words and/or ideas in written or oral communication to give the impression that these words or ideas are the student’s original thoughts. It occurs when a student fails to credit the original ideas and/or statements and puts the words or ideas directly into his/her own writing or speech. It can be avoided by correctly and appropriately citing the source material.
