Win Shih serves as the Director of Integrated Library Systems at University of Southern California Libraries in Los Angeles, USA. He also instructs at the Master of Management in Library and Information Science program at USC’s Bovard College.
Dr. Shih is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Fulbright U.S. Scholar (2025), the Pacific Rim Research Libraries Alliance Karl Lo Award (2023 and 2020), the International Association of University Libraries’ Research and Study Programme Grant (2019), ALA Diversity Research Grant (2015), and the Leading and Change Institute fellow (2010). Passionate about advancing the field, Win actively contributes to the profession by participating in the accreditation process for master’s programs in library and information science through his service on ALA’s Committee on Accreditation and External Review Panels. He has also conducted workshops and consultations in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, showcasing his global influence in the field.
Dr. Shih completed his EdD in higher education administration at the University of Southern California and holds dual MS degrees in library and information science and business administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is also a certified Microsoft Systems Engineer.
