The fields of Biomedical Sciences and Bioengineering are at the forefront of health research, pharmaceutical development, and technological innovation. At the University of Rhode Island, we train predoctoral students to be skilled scientists across a range of disciplines. We propose to build a collaborative graduate training program that trains predoctoral students in Biomedical Sciences and Bioengineering for workforce development, supports their professional development, and fosters transdisciplinary training across the broad field of life sciences.

Ph.D. in Biological & Environmental Sciences, specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology (BES-CMB)
Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience (INP)
Ph.D. in Engineering (ENG)
Electrical Engineering with Specialization in Biomedical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Ph.D. in Psychology (PSY)
Trainees will be nominated through each of the four established graduate programs for consideration for BSBE fellowship training.
