Open to Peer Advisors
This award is to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions and impact on peer support during their time in the Advice Service. They ensure that other students have access to information that can help them through their degrees in challenging times. This student not only supports the Advice Service in helping others through their degrees but also manages their time effectively to complete their own studies.
Open to Course Reps. Faculty Reps, Student Voice Assistants, Liberation and Student Experience Officers
This award is meant to recognize Student Leaders who belong to the Representation side of UPSU. They have made significant contributions to enhancing the university experience of their fellow coursemates. They should have actively participated in meetings and ensured effective communication of feedback between academic staff and students. The winner will have made a positive impact to ensure that every student has the best possible experience while at the University of Portsmouth, setting an example for their peers including Course Reps, Faculty Reps, SVA's, Liberation, and Student Experience Officers.
Open to all Student Staff who work for UPSU/PSUT
This award recognizes the outstanding work of UPSU student staff members who have displayed considerable commitment to their role, going above and beyond expectations.
Open to all Students
The Change Maker Award recognizes the contributions and commitments of our students in the areas of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), as well as the work they do to effect change and support student lives. Becoming a Changemaker involves dedicating oneself to making positive changes at the University of Portsmouth.

This award was established in 2017 in memory of the former VP Activities, Roxy Negru, who sadly passed away. Roxy was a passionate and enthusiastic individual who was dedicated to whatever she pursued. During her time at UPSU, Roxy devoted herself to giving her best in everything she did. This award will be presented to an individual who has exceeded expectations and has demonstrated the same dedication and approach to student involvement and commitment that Roxy exemplified.

This award is chosen by the Awards Committee and given to the Individual(s) that they have gone above and beyond to achieve the union values and vision of the Student Union Awards.

Full Colours - The recipients are individuals who have consistently gone above and beyond this year, extending their efforts beyond what was required in their role to fulfil and expand upon the union's ethos and values.
Half Colours - The recipients are individuals who have been all-around supporters, fulfilling their roles and going above and beyond in doing so.
Open to all UOP teachers/ Support Staff
The Exceptional Teaching Award is given to a teaching staff member who has been nominated by students for demonstrating exemplary practices in enriching the student experience, going above and beyond their regular duties.
Open to all Students. Groups, and Student Leaders
This award recognizes the best event or program of activity hosted by a student, group, or student leader, either individually or in collaboration with others. The event must have been impactful, meaningful, and/or particularly popular in enhancing the student experience and sense of belonging.
Open to all Student Groups
The Society Committee Member of the Year award provides the society with the opportunity to nominate and recognize a group's committee member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, drive, and creativity in ensuring the success of their society. The committee member will have exhibited a high level of engagement with their society members and the Student Union.
Open to all Academic Groups/ societies
The Academic Society of the Year recognizes the best academic society. Although not all societies are exclusively academic, the society must be able to be linked back to a faculty or course and must provide evidence of its impact on both its members' academic and social lives. The society has also enhanced the student experience and enriched the academic experience for its members.
Open to all Groups / Societies
The Student Group/Society of the Year will be awarded to the group that best embodies the values of UPSU. They will be leaders in their respective areas, inspiring and supporting other societies to emulate their success. They will have achieved success throughout the year and will have made significant progress in various award categories.
