ENGLISH CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
Hello everyone,
Welcome to all of the new comers. My name is Jairo Torres. I'm your English Coordinator and I am at your service.
And welcome back to our previously enrolled students.
As you can appreciate, we are still online for the beginning of this term. At first, it might seem as newly placed heavy burden; however, I’d like you to see it as an opportunity or, at the very least, a new challenge.
There are some recommendations that we make on the document on this principal page, on the right. I am certain you will read every detail.
None-the-less, I'd like to strongly recommend two things:
First, explore the site. Take a look at all of the documents and resources that are available for you. And then, once you have fully and carefully explored this site, feel free to write your teacher and ask any question you might have. But then, if you still need it, you can send me an email.
My second and final recommendation is to let you know that your success this term will heavily rest on your ability to self-regulate and your discipline as if you were physically at the university.
You must manage your time effectively.
You must work on the daily basis. Do not let things for the end.
You must complete your activities on the due dates and times.
By experience, I can tell you that it can be very tempting to try to do the work when it feels better, such as very late at night or at dawn. The best moment to do all of your work is at the most posible immediate moment that it is given to you.
Well, finally, the present courses and classes that you will partake in are design to focus on the four language skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking.
With no further ado, I welcome you once more and wish you the best of luck.
Before your explore the site, please carefully read the document on your right.
