Hi! My name is María Jose Suarez.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to your first year of university.

This is the beginning of your major; it’s a time for self-discovery. We want to encourage you to embrace this place and to feel comfortable.

So, let’s talk about what to expect on your first year.

On your first, second and third quarter, we are going to set the foundation of your English knowledge, so we are covering general English. You will acquire new vocabulary that will help you in your writing and listening skills, you will gain confidence and fluency on your speech and perfect your grammar structure.

Throughout this exciting and sometimes stressful time in your life, I will be here assisting you.
