Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Upside App Studio ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Motor Ride mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below. We comply with applicable data protection standards including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This policy applies to the Motor Ride iOS application and any related services we provide. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from within the App.
To deliver the core navigation and route-planning experience, the App may collect information you choose to enter, such as:
Ride preferences (route style, scenic vs. direct, distance, duration)
Stop preferences (motorcycle parking, lodging, fuel, food, viewpoints, and similar points of interest)
Motorcycle profile details (make, model, year, displacement, color) — optional
Display name and avatar — optional
Saved or favorite routes and destinations
The App does not require you to provide your real name, email address, or phone number unless you explicitly choose to sign in or create an account.
If you choose to sign in, authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. We may store a unique user identifier, sign-in provider (e.g., Apple), display name, and avatar reference in our secure cloud database (Firestore) so that your profile, saved routes, and group ride participation can be synchronized across sessions and devices.
Motor Ride is a navigation application, and access to your device's location is essential for core functionality such as turn-by-turn guidance, route calculation, nearby points of interest, and live position sharing during group rides.
Foreground location access is used while the App is open to display your position on the map.
Background location access (when granted) is used during active navigation and group rides so guidance and live sharing continue while your screen is off or another app is open.
You may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; doing so will disable navigation features.
If you join or host a group ride, your real-time position, display name, avatar, and motorcycle profile are shared only with the other participants of that ride for as long as the ride is active. This data is transmitted through Firebase services and is not made public.
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
Device information (device model, operating system version, language, region)
App version and configuration
Anonymous usage analytics (screens viewed, features used, crashes, performance metrics)
Diagnostic logs in case of errors
We do not access your contact list, photo library, microphone, calendar, health data, or messages.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store and managed through RevenueCat. We receive only the subscription status (active, expired, trial, entitlement identifier) needed to unlock premium features. We do not collect, see, or store your credit card number, billing address, or any payment instrument data.
We use the information described above to:
Provide turn-by-turn navigation and calculate motorcycle-friendly routes
Generate AI-assisted route suggestions based on your preferences and starting location
Display nearby points of interest (motorcycle parking, lodging, fuel, food, viewpoints, etc.)
Enable group rides and live position sharing between consenting participants
Maintain your profile, motorcycle details, and saved routes across devices
Validate your premium subscription status and enforce free-tier usage limits
Improve App stability, performance, and user experience
Communicate critical updates about the service when necessary
Comply with applicable legal obligations
When you request an AI-generated route, the parameters you provide (such as starting point, destination, ride duration, preferred stop categories, and ride style) are transmitted to a third-party AI provider strictly for the purpose of generating that route. These requests are processed in accordance with the AI provider's data-handling commitments and are not used to identify you personally.
AI-generated routes are suggestions only and may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for verifying road conditions, legality, safety, and fitness of any route before riding.
Motor Ride integrates the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:
Apple — App Store distribution, sign-in, in-app purchases
Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud database (Firestore), analytics, crash reporting
Google Places — points-of-interest data (motorcycle parking, lodging, fuel, food, etc.)
Map and routing providers — base map tiles and routing
RevenueCat — subscription management
AI providers — route generation
Anonymous analytics providers — aggregated usage metrics
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. We share with them only the minimum information needed to deliver the relevant feature.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
With the third-party service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App
With other participants of a group ride you have voluntarily joined
When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property
In connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, asset sale), in which case we will notify you
Profile data and saved routes are retained as long as your account is active.
Group ride position data is ephemeral and is deleted shortly after the ride ends.
Analytics and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period for stability and improvement purposes.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encrypted transport, scoped access controls, and authenticated APIs) to protect your information. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security, and you use the App at your own risk.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information ("right to be forgotten")
Object to or restrict certain processing
Request portability of your data
Withdraw a previously granted consent

Motor Ride is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
