The Community Transition Program follows the school calendar for Curtis Senior High School and University Place School District. This includes holidays, early release/late start days. Start/end times will vary based on Intern's individual plans.
As Intern's gain greater independence with their routines and get closer to their graduation date, their classroom instruction time will decrease and the portion of their day spent in the community applying learned skills will increase. The team will work with interns and families to transition from their typical k-12 school schedule, to a daily schedule that will reflect life after graduation.
Individual student variations to the schedule are IEP team determined.
