CONSTITUTION OF THE DRAMA CLUB OF CURTIS HIGH SCHOOL
Preamble
We, the students, for the promotion of good government, good sportsmanship, student activities, and the general welfare of the students of Curtis High School, establish this Constitution of the Drama Club.
Article 1. Name of Organization
Section A. It is resolved that the name of this organization shall be the Drama Club of Curtis High School.
Article 2. Purpose
The purposes of this organization shall be to:

1. To create performances (musicals, plays, one acts) for community viewing.
2. To achieve success in the area of performing arts.
Section B.
1. To provide technical assistance to all productions.
2. To organize theatre space for all activities
Article 3. Membership
Section A. Membership in Drama Club is established by casting in a show or volunteering for production involvement.
Section B. Membership in Drama Club is maintained by the advisor.
Article 4. Duties
Section A. Duties of CHS Drama Club
· To create theatrical productions.
· To assist in the maintenance and quality of the CHS Theatre facility.
· To achieve success on all levels of the performing arts.
· To organize outside events to view professional theatre.
· To attend workshops/conferences to hone theatre skills.
· To support CHS student body with theatre facility and performances.
· To raise funds for productions and theatrical advancement.
Article 5. Eligibility
Section A. Eligibility of Drama Club All club members must have and maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average.
Section B. Requirements for all Drama Club Members during their period of service shall be required to:
1. Attend three classes daily to attend rehearsal and six classes daily to attend performance.
2. Attend rehearsals and performances.
Article 6. Amendments
Section A. This constitution shall be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the membership provided changes are necessary.
