My name is Rubén López, currently I am in my sixth year of Industrial Engineering and I already completed a minor in Project Management. Based on that, at the moment I am working for WOMCY - Women in Cybersecurity as project manager, leading Womcy-Microsoft Cybersecurity Education & Certification program of training and certification in SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals by using project management methodologies. Defining program, creating project timelines, define curriculum of classes for a year, deliver content, participants coaching and follow up. Developing weekly statistic and graphs to update Microsoft Brasil stakeholders. Also, I am leading Womcy-Fortinet NSE Hero Institute Program by creating, promoting, and monitoring program records. Updating student’s database and validating eligibility requirements. Creating statistic of the program and considering the KPI’s that must be achieved. As my previous experiences, in the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to be in a intership with Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where I worked for two months in a project of accesses to systems for existing and new employees in the company. With this project, we impacted the General Mortgage Servicing unit, who have a portfolio of more than 200,000 thousand mortgage loans. To complete my project, it was an honor to present my work to the great executives and CEO of the largest bank in Puerto Rico and the entire Caribbean. Last year, I had the opportunity to work as a Information Technology intern with MCS Healthcare Holdings where my project was to automate the access process to improve customer service, mitigate audit findings and provided room to specialist to perfomre other tasks. To achieve those goals, I had to evaluate business process, anticipate requirements, uncovered areas for improvements, identify critical areas and analyze solutions in order to make a selection. Negotiate costs with vendors to ensure project is with in the budget and analyzed best practices for Password Management. By the end of the project, we achieved to optimized the process of granting access to new employees by creating Role Matrix based on their job description and closed a deal for the instalation of a new platform to automate the process of granting accesses for the 2,000 employees the company had. Being able to have opportunities like this is what motivates me to keep going. I have been able to learn, develop and put into practice new skills that I have been acquiring throughout this experiences. I am very interested in process improvements, optimization, cost management and information technology departments. I would like to find and intership or COOP experience in the Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical Industry to keep improving and developing new skills in different work environments.
