2019 ASCE Concrete Canoe

May 2018 - June 2019

  • Competition of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) association.

  • Member of the 2019 UPRM Concrete Canoe team.

  • Part of the Hull Design team.

  • Designed and analyzed the canoe’s hull to get an efficient, faster and maneuverable canoe that complied with the rules of the competition using Rhinoceros 5 program.

  • In charge of the photographs of the canoe procedure, graphic design of the official documents, display decoration, and aesthetics of the canoe.

Southeast Student Conference at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee; March 28 - 30, 2019

  • Sixth Place: Overall

  • Third Place: Final Product

  • Second Place: Race

National Conference at the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida; June 6 - 8, 2019

  • Innovation Award for the best use of concrete

  • In the Top 15 overall of 24 universities

  • Fifth Place: Race

2020 ASCE Concrete Canoe

July 2019 - March 2020

  • Leader of Hull Design Team and Graphics Team.

  • Supervise and help the hull design team to learn the concepts of a canoe’s structure, thus complete with the objectives of the team.

  • In charge of graphics design and aesthetics of the canoe.

  • The competitions were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Leadership and Mentoring program: Peer Led Team Learning.

  • Part of a group of leader students of e-PEARLS program (Engineering Program for Engineeringg Access, Retention, and LIATS Success) to support and help other students to reach their professionals goals and complete their study program of engineering.

Structural Plan Special Project

July 2019

  • Measure the space and make the structural plan of 4 sections of the first floor of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus General Library on a real scale in the AutoCAD program.

Evaluation of Tourist Signs Project

October 2019 - December 2016

  • Project of the UPRM Institute of Transportation Engineers Student Chapter.

  • Analyzed route at the city of Cabo Rojo, P.R. that passed through touristic places.

  • Designed tourism signs using the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) regulations on AutoCAD.

  • Proposed the appropriated places for the tourism signs.
