We are looking for MMS 200 students from BAMS to work on capstone projects that make use of Bukas' facilities.

The Bukas Lab is looking for a Student Assistant (SA) who can assist with activities related to the FICS and Bukas projects. Tasks include:
Organizing and keeping track of specialized equipment (e.g., wearable technologies, portable EEG headset, microcontrollers, sensors);
Scanning documents, uploading them to the UPOU Institutional Repository, and adding metadata to them, in coordination with the UPOU Library;
Helping another SA from the BAMS program (Lucky Vengua) with organizing a special BAMS hackathon that will be held during 2022-1T; and
Assist with other activities related to the functioning of the FICS, BAMS courses, and the Bukas Lab.
The ideal applicant must:

Have prior experience in--or an interest in and willing to learn more about--physical computing, hardware prototyping, wearable technology, the Internet of Things, or related fields and activities.

Have good interpersonal skills.
Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Report in-person at Bukas at UPOU’s Diliman office along CP Garcia at least twice a week (pending approval from appropriate authorities)
If you are starting MMS 200, you are allowed to develop your project based on the work that you do in the Bukas Lab. You will be mentored by the head of Bukas and the FICS Dean, Dr. Diego Maranan.
The student assistant rate is 60 pesos an hour, maximum of 120 hours per month. SAs are allowed to work up to six (6) hours per day except for emergency tasks during Sundays and holidays that are approved by the Dean.
