Are you a transfer student?
If you have earned credits from your previous university or college, you may apply for transfer of these credits using the form for Application for Transfer of Credits found at the OUR website. You have to consider the following when applying for transfer of credits:
Courses credited should not exceed 50% of the total number of units required for the UPOU program. Note: To graduate with honors, he/she will have to complete 75% of the required number of units and must be in residence for 2 years immediately prior to graduation [from Art. 412 of the UP Code].
The courses which you are applying for transfer of credits must be equivalent to the courses in the curriculum of the Bachelor of Education Studies program (see the New Curriculum at the navigation menu).
A validation exam for the equivalent UPOU courses is required for the application for transfer of credits to be approved. The requirement for validation exams is waived for courses completed at other UP constituent universities and for students who have already completed at least 66 units of academic work or an equivalent Associate in Arts degree.
PE, NSTP, vocational, theology, euthenics and practicum courses are not included in counting academic work.
You may be asked to present a course outline or syllabus for further clarification during the evaluation period.
To avoid unnecessary repetition of courses, the Program Chair highly encourages you to submit your application for transfer of credits before your first enrollment at UPOU. Applications received one year after the first enrollment will no longer be considered.
Before submitting your application for transfer of credits and the copy of the official TOR from your previous college/university to the FEd Faculty Secretary (fed secretary@upou.edu.ph; cc: fed@upou.edu.ph), you must have consulted the BES Program Chair (bes@upou.edu.ph) first.
