Fakhri Akbar Ayub, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D. is the visionary leader of the Marine Dynamic and Control Laboratory, where he directs pioneering research in ship resistance, ship manoeuvring, and ocean renewable energy systems, with a primary emphasis on the application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). As a Lecturer at the prestigious Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta, he brings extensive expertise in hydrodynamics, numerical modeling, and advanced simulation techniques. Her work centers on leveraging CFD to analyze and optimize vessel performance, enhance manoeuvrability, and improve the efficiency and sustainability of marine and offshore energy technologies. Driven by a commitment to innovation and engineering excellence, he leads the lab’s mission to advance cutting-edge computational approaches that address complex challenges in modern naval architecture and ocean engineering.
