Mohd Rashidi was born in 1985 and completed his PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Ian Scowen in 2019. His area of expertise is modern vibrational spectroscopy. In University of Lincoln, he and his team studied reference standards of Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and street samples using benchtop and portable Raman spectrometers. Back in UK, he served as an associate lecturer for two years for CHM1006M (Intro to Synthetic Chemistry PS) and FRS 1050M (Intro to Analytical Chemistry). He assisted the undergraduate students (home students and overseas students) in conducting weekly experiments in the chemistry laboratory. In UPM, he started as a Tutor and later joined as a Senior Lecturer in April 2019. He actively involved with the teaching and laboratory practical for several chemistry subjects offered by the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science.
