Dr. Muhammad Khairul Adib Muhammad Yusof

Adib received the B.Sc. degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in space science from Universiti Kebangsaan in 2021. Since 2021, he is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Physics, UPM. His research interests include earthquake precursor, ground and space geomagnetic observations, and data science. He is well-versed in MATLAB programming language. He has published several papers in international journals and conferences on these topics. He is also passionate about teaching and mentoring students in physics and related fields.

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Amiruddin Abd Rahman 📧 (Lab Head)

Amir is an Associate Professor with Department of Physics Universiti Putra Malaysia. He gained BSc in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, United States. He also obtained an MSc degree in Sensor and Instrumentation from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is the first person that was awarded with a joint (co-tutelle) PhD degree between University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has joined Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs Dublin, Ireland as a post-graduate research intern to carried out research and working with research team on co-localization and tracking algorithm for WLAN networks. He has also served as an invited researcher in Bell Labs Antwerp, Belgium to apply the localization system for Bell-Labs Future-X day. In 2019, he has been attached to the Indian Institute Technology Kanpur, India, as a Postdoctoral Fellow working on peer-to-peer networks. He has been a principal investigator for 4 research projects and the other 2 as co-investigator where one of the projects is from an international grant. He has also served multiple positions in Ministry of Education and Higher education such as technical committee for Smart Data Project and technical workforce for Big Data Project between 2019 to 2021. He also has served as a Fellow of CEO@Faculty at the ministry of Higher Education where he has been placed in National Instruments Penang in 2018. His current research interest is within the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence where he has published more than 20 high impact articles in the area.

Postgraduates 👩🏻‍🎓

Caceja Elyca Anak Bundak

During my study, I gain my knowledge in using machine learning and using software such as MATLAB, python and Android studio. The software that I usually use is MATLAB. The algorithm that I have learned and used so far is KNN, SVR, ANN and ARIMAX. For my master project, I'm focus on developing algorithm for estimation location in indoor positioning. I also have making an apps using Android studio and firebase with my friend. Right now I am focussed on my Ph.D study in data science field.

Nur Athirah Binti Mohd Shazali

Physics student that passionate and hard-working looking for collaboration to gain experiences. Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in spite of improves self-skills. Able to adapt in a challenging situations and a risk taker. Expert in Phyton and MATLAB programming.
