Meeting Essential Needs With Dignity and Care
No individual or family should have to face food insecurity alone. Through our Feeding the Hungry program, Uplift Community Outreach distributes donated food and available grocery items to community members experiencing hardship.
To serve the community responsibly and work within our current capacity, food assistance is primarily available through scheduled pickup opportunities. Distribution dates, locations, and available food items may change based on donations, funding, volunteers, and community partnerships.
All assistance is provided with dignity, respect, and care.
Our mission is to address hunger and social isolation by providing dignified food assistance and meaningful companion connections for older adults.
We envision a community where individuals have access to essential food support and no older adult feels forgotten, disconnected, or alone.
1. Contact Hope Florida
Individuals seeking food assistance must begin by contacting Hope Florida and requesting a referral to Uplift Community Outreach.
2. Uplift Receives the Referral
Hope Florida sends the referral information to Uplift. Our team reviews the request, delivery address, current food availability, and delivery capacity.
3. Receive Approval and Scheduling Information
If Uplift can assist, the client will receive an email, text message, or telephone call with instructions for scheduling an available delivery appointment.
4. Schedule and Receive Your Delivery
Approved clients select an available delivery date and time. Food is delivered to the approved address listed on the referral.
Uplift Community Outreach accepts food-assistance referrals through Hope Florida. Individuals seeking assistance should contact Hope Florida to begin the referral process.
After Uplift receives and reviews your referral, an Uplift representative will contact you regarding availability. Approved clients will receive a private link to select an available delivery date and time.
A referral does not guarantee assistance. Food and delivery availability depend on current donations, funding, volunteer capacity, and service area.
After an approved Hope Florida referral is received and reviewed, Uplift will send the client a private scheduling link. The client may use that link to select from the delivery appointments currently available.
The scheduling link is only for clients who have received approval from Uplift. Appointments made without an approved referral may be canceled.
Important Scheduling Information
Delivery times are based on current driver and volunteer availability.
The available dates and times will be shown in the private scheduling link.
Selecting an appointment does not allow the client to change the approved delivery address.
Address changes must be reviewed and approved by Uplift before delivery.
Clients must provide accurate telephone and email information.
Clients without email access may contact Uplift for scheduling assistance.
Delivery appointments may be changed because of weather, food availability, transportation issues, or other unexpected circumstances.
Receiving a referral does not guarantee food assistance. Every referral must be reviewed and approved by Uplift Community Outreach based on current food inventory, service area, and delivery capacity.
Food availability changes based on donations, purchases, storage capacity, and community partnerships. A delivery may include:
Fresh produce
Pantry staples
Bread and baked goods
Refrigerated or frozen items
Donated grocery products
Prepared or packaged meals when safely available for distribution
Notice:
Food quantities and selections will vary. Uplift cannot guarantee particular products, brands, meal types, dietary items, or enough food to meet all of a household’s nutritional needs. Clients should review all food labels and ingredients before consumption.
Feeding the Hungry provides scheduled food delivery to the approved home address listed on the client’s Hope Florida referral.
All deliveries require administrative approval and must be scheduled in advance. Uplift does not provide same-day, emergency, or on-demand food delivery.
Delivery availability depends on:
Food inventory
Driver and volunteer availability
Transportation capacity
The delivery address and service area
Safe weather and travel conditions
The number of approved referrals currently being served
Important notice:
Uplift cannot leave food unattended unless advance arrangements have been approved. Clients should be available at the delivery address during their scheduled delivery window.
Restaurants, grocery stores, farms, faith communities, businesses, and community organizations help Uplift provide food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
We welcome opportunities to discuss recurring food donations, prepared or packaged meal donations, food drives, grocery sponsorships, transportation support, and financial contributions.
Please contact Uplift before delivering or arranging a food donation. This allows our team to confirm current needs, food-safety requirements, storage capacity, packaging expectations, and pickup arrangements.
Feeding the Hungry connects individuals and families experiencing food insecurity with donated food delivered through coordinated referrals and community support.
If you need food assistance, begin by contacting Hope Florida. If you would like to support the program, you can donate food, provide financial support, or become a community partner.
Food assistance is provided by approved referral and is subject to available donations, funding, transportation, and delivery capacity. A referral does not guarantee service, a particular delivery date, or specific food items.
