How You Can Use Your Platform to Elevate Your 2024 Lift For Life
Below are a number of resources and ideas to help your 2024 Lift For Life campaign takeoff and make a larger impact for the millions who are impacted by rare diseases. You can copy and paste any of the content below, download images to use to get the word out, or come up with your own ways to spread the word!
Using the automated ask feature on your teams campaign page will give you a unique link tied to your name. When someone donates through your link, you will see your name climb up the leaderboard to become the top fundraiser.
Here's How it Works
Go to the Pledge It site for your team:
Click on "Join"
Enter your email address
Create your Pledge It Account (enter your first name, last name, and create a password)
Under Lift for Life Registration, hit "Select"
Leave the section that says "This ticket is for:" as "Me"
You can edit your personal fundraising goal if you would like, or just leave it as the default
Enter "Your points goal" based on the goal for your side of the ball and select "Add Ticket":
OFFENSE: 11,465
DEFENSE: 14,685
It will give you options to donate (this is only if you would like to make a personal donation, NOT required and no fees to sign-up). At the bottom, select "Place order' (again - this will not charge you anything unless you choose to make a personal donation)
You will then be prompted if you would like to customize your page with a profile photo, and if you would like to tell your story (you can leave these as the default or edit as you see fit)
IMPORTANT!! After the prompts to edit your profile, you will see an option to "Invite donors". Select that option and then select "Invite via email"
From here, add as many emails as you can - at least 3! This will send a custom link to the individuals you enter to donate directly to your campaign.
Any donations made through that link will be credited directly to you and get you on the fundraising leaderboard to compete with the rest of your team!
You can feel free to edit the messaging as you'd like or leave it as default
After entering emails, you will be directed to your page. If you select "Share", you will see an option to "Copy page URL". This is the link you should use when posting on Instagram/Twitter to get the credit for any donations made from the work you are doing
If you need to go back to enter more emails, select "Share" on your page and then "Share via email or text" and it will take you back to that option
