What LullAI does
LullAI creates serialized audio bedtime stories for children ages 2–8. A parent or guardian sets up a child profile — first name, age, and a few interest tags — and the app produces a personalized chapter each night. Stories are narrated aloud, the screen goes dark, and the audio gradually fades into calming sleep sounds.
Story text is crafted by a language model. Narration is produced by a text-to-speech service. Both run through external APIs. The child does not interact with these services directly.
1. Data we collect
Child's first name — Woven into the story so the child hears their own name. Never sent to any external service. An anonymous placeholder is used in all API requests. Stored on your device only.
Child's age — Sent to the language model as an age group (e.g. "4–5") so story vocabulary and themes match the child's level. Stored on your device. Age group (not birth date) sent to the language model.
Interest tags — Short tags you choose (e.g. "dinosaurs," "space," "cats"). Sent to the language model so stories reflect what the child enjoys. Stored on your device. Tags sent to the language model as plain text.
Story text — The chapter text returned by the language model. Stored on your device only.
Audio files — Narration produced by the text-to-speech service. Stored on your device only.
Consent record — A timestamped log that you agreed to the terms and allowed story generation. Stored on your device only.
Subscription status — Whether you are on the free tier or a paid plan. Managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment card details.
2. Data we do not collect
No account. No login, no registration, no email address (unless you write to Support yourself).
No photos or camera access. The app does not request or use the camera.
No microphone or voice recordings. The app does not record the child or anyone else.
No analytics. No analytics SDK, no usage tracking, no crash reporting service.
No advertising. No ads, no advertising identifiers, no ad networks.
No tracking. No cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind.
No location, contacts, or health data.
No server-side storage by UPİGAİ. We do not operate a server that stores your child's name, preferences, stories, or audio. Everything stays on your device.
3. Third-party processing
When you tap Continue on the in-app consent screen, the app begins generating stories. Two external services are involved:
1. Language model provider — receives the child's age group and interest tags as plain text. Returns a story chapter. The child's name is never included in the request; an anonymous placeholder is substituted before the text leaves your device.
2. Text-to-speech provider — receives the finished story text (which now contains the child's first name). Returns a narrated audio file.
Both services are accessed through their official APIs. Under their published API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train their models. We encourage you to review each provider's privacy policy, which is linked in the app's consent screen.
No other third party receives any data from LullAI.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA)
LullAI is designed for families with children ages 2–8. The app is set up and managed entirely by a parent or guardian. Children do not create accounts, enter personal information, or interact with any external service.
The child's first name never leaves the device.
Only the age group and interest tags — chosen by the parent — are sent to the language model, and only as anonymous text prompts with no identifying information.
No data is collected directly from children.
No behavioral tracking, profiling, or targeted content is applied to children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without parental consent, contact us at lull@upigai.com and we will delete it promptly.
5. Where your data lives
All child profiles, stories, audio files, and consent records are stored locally on your device. UPİGAİ does not maintain a cloud copy.
Deleting a child profile removes that child's name, preferences, stories, and audio from the device.
Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
Revoking consent in Settings stops all future story generation and deletes all personal data (child profiles, stories, audio) from the device.
6. Payments
Subscriptions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. UPİGAİ does not handle payment card numbers or billing information. Subscription management — renewal, cancellation, refunds — is handled through your store account.
7. Your choices
Consent screen: Tap Not now to keep story generation off. The app remains installed; you can agree later.
Revoke consent: Open Settings inside LullAI. Tap "Revoke story consent." This stops all future story generation and deletes all personal data from the device.
Delete a child profile: Remove any child's profile and all associated stories from within the app.
Notifications: Disable story reminders in your device's system Settings at any time.
Support inquiries: Email lull@upigai.com to ask about any data we may hold from a Report or Support message you sent.
8. Data retention
We do not retain your child's data because we do not store it. The only data we may hold is the content of a Support or Report message you voluntarily send to lull@upigai.com.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how data is processed — for example, by adding a new third-party provider — a new in-app consent screen will appear before the next story is generated. We will update this policy and note the change. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice.
