This week we will be learning about the 5 Senses. Tuesday we will be doing sound BINGO, Wednesday we will be smelling some different scents, Thursday we will be using our eyes and hands to discover some objects and Friday we will be trying some different tastes (sweet, sour, salty, etc).
We have finished up our last letter of the alphabet. So from now until the end of the year we will be revising and making sure we have our letter names and sounds concrete.

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well!
We have had a very exciting week so far, with planting our sunflower seeds and watching them sprout, to getting excited for our caterpillars being delivered tomorrow!
This week we are working on the letter "W" and looking at sound blends to help us read some challenging words, "on", "ch", "ou".
I can't believe we have already reached this time of the year. Time goes by fast when you're having fun in Kindergarten!

This week we will be celebrating Earth Day. Discovering different ways we can help our planet at home, school or elsewhere! We will also be learning about the letter "G", only three letters left to go! On Tuesday morning, we have a visit from the Easter Seals Ambassador.
I gave the students some exciting news this week. We will be getting 8 caterpillars, hopefully arriving on the 28th of this month. We will be able to watch the caterpillars grow each day and go through their life cycle, something we have just finished learning about!
With the nice weather finally settling, we will be doing more activities outside to enjoy the fresh air. Please make sure you are still packing clothes accordingly (splash pants, gloves, hats) it can still be a little chilly out there!

This week is French week at GSP. There are some special activities happening throughout the week, with a special guest appearance from Michael Pendergast on Thursday. This week we will be reading the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Continuing on with celebrating Spring and talking about the life cycle of a butterfly. We have a busy week coming up! Not only is the school celebrating Family Literacy Week with some activities planned, but within our class we will be learning about the Chinese New Year with help from a couple families that sent in some snacks, decorations and videos for us to enjoy. A big thank you to them :) We will also be learning about Ground Hog Day, fingers crossed Phil does not see his shadow next weekend lol! Additionally, we will continue learning about 3D shapes and their characteristics.

The students are getting very excited for Christmas and in class we have some new play stations for them that they are very excited about. Our first 5 day week has come to an end. I know I saw some tired faces as the students are still learning to adjust, as well as myself! Last week I got to see many students come out of their shells and some of their little personalities, I can't wait for this week as we all continue to grow in class together.

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend.
What a wonderful first two days in KH! The class did great last week learning the new routines and getting familiar with the classroom.
This week we will be moving into our first theme "les couleurs" (colors) as well as focusing on learning their names and those of their peers. I have some fun activities planned!
A quick note: I will be out of the class this Friday the 13th.
