Senior Clinic - Year 3

Senior Clinic projects are completed by third and fourth year students. Projects typically include design and optimization of systems in a wide variety of applications but must be related to renewable energy; bioresources; sensors, optics, and imaging; robotics and industrial automation; or, advanced manufacturing and often involve building and testing a physical prototype.

Project: Design and Construction of a Fuel Injector Cleaning Manifold

Partner: Action Aero

The objective of this project is to design, build, and test a manifold for cleaning fuel injectors for Pratt and Whitney aircraft engines.

Project: Design of a Gasket for Heated Bridge Sections

Partner: Atlantic Industries Ltd.

The objective of this project is to design, build, and test a gasket to be installed in a heated bridge to reduce air leakage.

Project: Interactive 3D Environments for Microsoft Hololens

Partner: Amsted Industries

The objective of this project is to design and test the development of 3D interactive environments on Microsoft Hololens for business applications.

Project: Design of Automated Box Forming Infrastructure

Partner: Atlantic Beef Products

The objective of this project is to design a mezzanine with equipment for automating the box making process for meat packaging.

Project: Design of a Pallet Manufacturing Conveyor

Partner: BMI Ltd.

The objective of this project is to design, build, and test a system to improve the output of a pallet manufacturing process.

Project: Design an Automated Wastewater Filtration System

Partner: Cavendish Farms

The objective of this project is to design and test an automated filtering system for the BioGas facility at Cavendish Farms, New Annan, PE.

Project: Analyze the Efficiency of a Heat Recovery System

The objective of this project is to test and calculate the efficiency of a heat recovery system and recommend improvements.

The objective of this project is to design, build, and test an exoskeleton for a young patient with muscle motor limitations.

Project: Design of a Modular Backyard Shed

Partner: The Shaw Group

The objective of this project is to design, build, and test a modular back-yard shed that is manufactured off-site and assembled on-site.
