A meeting point between art, mathematics and artificial intelligence, centred on a digital artwork created for the Whitney Museum in New York and inspired by research at UPC.
The artwork invites audiences to explore a virtual ocean that transforms into shapes evoking cellular structures, circuits and computer code. Through this journey, the artists establish a dialogue between fluid dynamics and computation, raising questions about intelligence in natural and artificial systems. In their presentation of the project, the artists explicitly acknowledge that the research on fluid dynamics and Turing-completeness conducted by Professor Eva Miranda and her collaborators has been an important source of inspiration for the artwork.
