About UPABA

The number of ABA providers in Michigan's Upper Peninsula has grown significantly over the last decade. Local professionals know that high-quality training and resources often require extensive travel and expense. UPABA was established in 2019 with the assistance of a generous grant from the Superior Health Foundation in recognition of the growing need for local training & resources. Since then, the organization has provided webinars,  annual regional conferences, and parent & caregiver trainings totaling nearly 40 hours of Type 2 CEU's to more than 70 regional members as of summer 2023.

The region's only local organization for the practice and science of Behavior Analysis, the Upper Peninsula Association for Behavior Analysis (UPABA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to supporting the science and profession of behavior analysis through research, education, and practice.

UPABA seeks to accomplish this mission by facilitating opportunities for professional development, promoting scientific inquiry and dissemination, advocating for policy and best-practices, and by supporting a collaborative network throughout the Upper Peninsula Region of Michigan.

Core Values of UPABA:

"The individuals running the UPABA work hard to provide a conference with relative information and topics. We believe in what the UPABA team is doing for Michigan families."
