The Council will perform the following functions:
Coordinate with Constituent Units regarding the development assessment and monitoring of the GE program.
Anticipate future needs and demands that will impinge on the GE program and recommend appropriate changes.
Evaluate proposals for the institution of GE courses.
Formulate and enforce academic policies and standards for GE courses.
In general, propose policies and such other changes needed to improve content and the teaching of GE courses.
Evaluate and approve proposals for grants related to GE.
