In the spirit of protest and pride, we welcome you!
Good day! We are Garcia, Grafil, Justo, and Lacap, undergraduate students taking Psych 103: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Psychology.
As part of our final project, our group is creating a Zine that acts as a legal primer specifically for LGBTQIA high school and college students who experience discrimination in educational institutions. This zine breaks down how existing laws can be used, despite their limitations, to respond to acts of discrimination. By avoiding legal jargon and offering clear, practical guidance, we hope to empower LGBTQI students to understand their rights, take action, and seek help. Alongside this, we’re curating a list of legal practitioners and institutions that provide support, making it easier for students to know where to turn when they need it most.
This is our offering to the LGBTQI community: a small act of resistance, a tool for empowerment, and a step toward justice.
