We are undergraduate students from Psych 103: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Psychology. As part of our final project, our group is creating a Zine that acts as a legal primer specifically for LGBTQIA+ high school and college students who experience discrimination in educational institutions.
There are no national laws protecting LGBTQIA+ students in the Philippines, only gaps, silences, and promises left unfulfilled. So we look elsewhere: in loopholes, in local codes, in communities that care. This project is a reminder that where protection is denied, resistance begins.
