Level III Phase 2 Accreditation Visit
Welcome to the homepage of the Bachelor in Performing Arts major in Theater Arts program of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines!
With the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order 25, Series of 2017, or the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor in Performing Arts (BPeA) as its foundation, the degree program with the same title at the Sintang Paaralan, PUP, continues to carve its edge in the arts and culture profile of the country. Through its grand aim to continue its tradition of producing excellent, ethical, and responsible 21st-century theater artists and performance practitioners across all forms and platforms, the BPeA program is packed with 149 units of general education, core, major, and elective courses taught by highly skilled teachers, most of whom are theater practitioners themselves.
The BPeA program of the university, with the Level III Accreditation from AACCUP as its guide, attempts to reach greater heights through the research, extension and community service, and production of its stakeholders. In fact, several of its faculty members have been recognized for their research and creative productions, following the guidelines of the university. They have also closely invested in the program's extension projects, which will undoubtedly continue to flourish together with the attempt of the program and its leadership to explore new horizons through forging more linkages with government and private theater groups and organizations.
All of these and more are painstakingly accomplished to ensure the success of the students of the BPeA program, not only in their academic degree, but in the life beyond the university.
Come and let us explore the marvels of the BPeA program – its students, faculty, administration, alumni, and other stakeholders, all in the limelight!

Greetings in the name of the arts!
As the department chairperson, I am excited to share a glimpse into our dynamic and vibrant community of artist-teachers, artistic leaders, scholars, creative practitioners, and mga Artista ng Bayan. This is a space where creativity, passion, and innovation take center stage, and where our students and faculty are constantly in the limelight, shining with their skills and creative ideas.
As you explore our site, you will discover what sets our program apart from other theatre programs—where “art meets purpose,” “stories come to life,” and “ideas move from page to stage.” We are proud to nurture the next generation of artists, scholars, practitioners, and artistic leaders who push boundaries, challenge conventions, and elevate the craft of performance.
The BPeA program is built on a strong foundation of academic rigor and hands-on experience, guided by a dedicated faculty and supported by a network of distinguished alumni. Whether in the rehearsal space, the classroom, or on stage, we believe every moment is an opportunity for growth and transformation.
Thank you for visiting our accreditation site. We hope you feel the energy, passion, and commitment that drive our students and faculty toward creating meaningful and impactful work.
Para sa Sining at Bayan!
