The Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) Davao Chapter has actively promoted mathematical education and research through a series of engaging events. It all began with the First Mathematics Lecture Series on January 17, 2011, hosted at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. This inaugural event served as a platform for esteemed mathematicians to share their expertise and insights with a captivated audience.

     Building on the success of the first lecture series, the Second Mathematics Lecture Series took place on September 3, 2011, at the University of Southeastern Philippines. The event expanded the reach of mathematical discourse, providing a diverse range of topics and stimulating discussions for mathematics enthusiasts.

     Highlighting the chapter's commitment to academic growth, the 1st Annual Convention of MSP XI was held in Davao del Norte State College on October 20-21, 2011. This convention brought together mathematicians, researchers, and students, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge exchange.

     The momentum continued with the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Mathematics Lecture Series, hosted at Ateneo de Davao University. These lecture series, featuring renowned speakers, explored various areas of mathematics and deepened attendees' understanding.

     Furthermore, the Sixth Mathematics Lecture Series, held at Ateneo de Davao University under the stewardship of Dr. Fenecious, served as a testament to the society's commitment to sustaining mathematical discourse and fostering intellectual curiosity among students and professionals alike.

     Continuing its tradition of excellence, the Mathematical Society of the Philippines Davao Chapter is now gearing up for its latest event, the highly anticipated 2023 MSP Davao Region Research Convention. This convention serves as a platform for researchers, academicians, and students to present their cutting-edge research works, engage in academic discussions, and explore emerging trends in the field of mathematics. With a lineup of distinguished speakers and diverse research topics, the convention promises to be a stimulating and informative gathering that will contribute significantly to advancing mathematics in the Davao region.
