This catalogue follows the arrangement of  the families of bird species appearing in the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines' 2021 Check List. Also, a considerable number of specimen tags are yet to be updated to reflect changes in scientific names due to synonym nomenclature, species splits, upgrading to full species, etc. pending full physical inventory of the D.S. Rabor Bird Collection.

To resolve the appropriate scientific names for the respective specimens, collection data indicated in the tags were compared to records in the WBCP 2021 (and more recently, 2023) Checklist and Avibase - The World Bird Database (https://avibase.bsc-eoc.org/avibase.jsp). 

Users are encouraged to report incorrect entries (e.g. scientific names, English names, etc.) to enable us to ensure validity of information contained in this online catalogue.
