"Kung Papayag ang mga tala," encapsulates the essence of Christmas beyond the noche buena feast, parol lanterns, simbang gabi traditions, or the sweet notes of puto bong bong and bibingka. This is dedicated to every Filipino, engraved with resilience and cultural richness.

The design of this piece draws inspiration from the intricate stained glass windows adorning churches during the cherished simbang gabi. Despite the trials, Filipinos, like the vibrant colors of a kaleidoscope, continue to shine through, resilient in the face of adversity.

It is a visual narrative that resonates with the shared experiences and the unwavering hope for brighter tomorrow, embodying the true spirit of Christmas for every Filipino.

This is the first Christmas we wouldn’t be together, breaking a tradition of shared joys, artistic pursuits, challenges faced, and dreams pursued together.

We’ve always been by each other’s side.

From graduating together at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School to embarking on the next chapter at OPOU, our journey has always been a tandem adventure. Yet, life gives us the challenge to be apart.

But we believe, reaching the dream requires sacrifice. The stars of our aspirations may be distant for now, but we trust in a brighter future when circumstances align, bringing us back together and making our shared dreams a reality.

We are waiting that someday, papayag din ang mga tala.
