The University of the Philippines-Diliman is a sprawling 493-hectare campus that is home to 20,000 students and a host of historical and cultural landmarks. The University features stunning open spaces, historic architecture, and vibrant campus life, making it one of the most picturesque campuses in the Philippines.
Key Attractions on Campus
UP Oblation. The iconic monument representing the University’s commitment to selfless service and sacrifice. It stands 3.5 meters in height. It is a masterpiece of the National Artist for Sculpture and College of Fine Arts professor Guillermo Estrella Tolentino.
Academic Oval. It is a 2.2-kilometer road that encircles the central part of the campus. It is lined with large trees and is a perfect spot for a leisurely walk, jog, or bike ride.
Sunken Garden. It is a natural depression that is surrounded by the Academic Oval. It serves as a site for concerts and school activities, and a relaxing spot for students and visitors.
The Vargas Museum. A cultural museum that houses a collection of art, history, and artifacts from the Philippines, particularly those with ties to the University.
