All About Me!
When I was a little girl, my friends and I would play like we are in a classroom and I always played the role of a teacher. I had so much fun doing it and years later, I became one. I am Hazel Jane O. Anoba, 22 years young, born and raised in the Queen City of the South– Cebu City and I am 3 years fresh in the teaching industry.
College years
I attended college in one of my dream universities, Cebu Normal University, with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biological Science. At the same time, I worked as an office secretary at a law firm for 3 years and I also actively participated in Biolympics, an interschool competition for biology majors in Cebu held every year. Juggling studies, work, and extracurriculars made my college life very meaningful and memorable but excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities is a dream come true which also made my parents very proud.
In the Teaching Profession
At the age of 19, I became the youngest teacher in Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus teaching Junior High School. I was 22 when I got my promotion and became the Science Area Coordinator making me again the youngest to be in the position. This institution is one of the best decisions I have ever made as a young professional because they helped me grow personally, professionally, and most especially spiritually. I cannot imagine how my life would be like had I not "accidentally" applied for the job HAHAHA! (The tea: They pushed me to apply for the job even if I have not graduated yet and I did not have the intention to do so. I was wearing off-shoulder and ripped jeans but I still got the job..)
With the aim of growing personally and professionally, I am currently pursuing Master of Education major in Biology in my dream school University of the Philippines Cebu.
Things closer to my heart
If there is one thing that I am most passionate about, it is travelling. Even before I dreamed of becoming a teacher, I have always wanted to become an airline pilot but due to financial and height constraints HAHAHA! I never got to pursue that dream. I also have this passion in video and photo editing although I was not formally trained, whenever my friends and I would travel I am always assigned to edit photos and videos. I hope I will have my own travel vlog soon <3 <3 <3
