About Me

My name is Gabriel Kyle Cayabyab, but you may call me Gab. I am a first-year student at UP Open University, taking up Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies.

The majority of my interests lie in the field of music. Some of my skills include playing various instruments (strings, chordophone, and percussion), singing, composing music, and looping. My passion for music started way back when I was a two-year-old child. My family would let me listen and sing along to international and OPM songs from the '80s and '90s during road trips (we were always on the road back then), specifically songs by Journey, Roxette, Rivermaya, and Asin. Those memories were quite vivid, yet I treasured them the most.

 Fast forward to 2018, I enrolled in the extension program at UP College of Music, where I began to learn more about the intricacies and technicalities of singing, particularly in the domain of Classical music. Subsequently, a year later, I was allowed to join the ABS-CBN reality show, The Voice Teens under Team Bamboo, also known as Kamp Kawayan. Although I did not get to win the competition, a few perks came along the way. I receive regular gig invites from various accounts, even today! I also got the opportunity to start my YouTube Channel and release some of my original songs on different digital platforms, garnering numerous subscribers.

Now, I am focusing more on my studies at UPOU BAMS and performing upon invites to private events and concerts.
