DBSES Special Lecture 1 from UP Mindanao Professor Emeritus and NAST Academician Prof. Eufemio T. Rasco Jr., who talked about agri-fishery transformation through scientific approaches. Their research group is also looking for eager researchers who can help them develop an app.

This DBSES Special Lecture on the UPMin research studies was about the underutilized crop, Nypa fruticans Wurmb. (Nipa Palm) as an alternative agricultural, industrial, or biofuel resource through the lens of Asst. Prof. Junaldo Mantiquilla. a/Prof. Mantiquilla also shared his findings on genetic story of the said palm unraveled through molecular biology.

As Director of Research and Conservation of the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF), DBSES Senior Lecturer Dr. Jayson Ibanez shared their culture-based conservation as part of PEF's brand of integrating science and indigenous ecological knowledge in natural resource management.
