STEPS
Read the guidelines and secure and fill out the necessary application form, if applicable.
Submit all the required documents, as listed in the Guidelines, including the Application Form, to the Office of the University Registrar via email, our.upcebu@up.edu.ph.
For students who are not eligible for the Free Higher Education privilege of CHED, pay a non-refundable application fee at the Cash Office.
(Online payment may be made via gcash, instapay, pesonet, or bank transfer to the Philippine Veterans Bank Account of UP Cebu.)
Return to the Office of the University Registrar with your Official Receipt for the processing and evaluation of your application.
Accomplish other requirements set by the college such as the Aptitude Test. Register here.
Wait for the approval of the Dean of the College of Communication, Art, and Design (CCAD).
Get your Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or Non-Acceptance.
If approved, you may proceed with the Admission process.

The College evaluates applications and submits a list of accepted students to OUR. College notifies applicants of the result of their application whether accepted or not. College issues a Notice of Acceptance to accepted applicants.
The OUR reflects the change of degree program in SAIS/CRS and informs College of the changes made via email. For filing purposes, OUR may print the admission slip.
Student accomplishes application form and submits required documents to the Accepting College on or before the deadline set by the College or School.

For UP Diliman and UP Baguio: Home College transmits the records (Form 10) of the student to the Accepting College.
For UP Manila, UP Visayas, UP Mindanao, UP Los Baños: Home College archives student records, while Accepting College generates new Form 10 for students.
Accepting College submits a list of accepted students to OUR.
OUR reflects necessary changes in the student’s degree program in SAIS/CRS and informs the New College and Home College of the changes made via email.
Student submits application to transfer to the Accepting CU on or before the deadline set by the college or school, and pays transfer application fee, as applicable.

Accepting College evaluates applications and notifies students of the result of their application. Accepted students are issued a Notice of Provisional Acceptance and are instructed to process CU clearance and transfer credentials
Accepted student submits the Notice of Provisional Acceptance to Home College, processes CU clearance, and pays for Transcript of Records (TOR) fee.
Home College issues Transfer Permit to the student upon submission of CU clearance.
Student submits Transfer Permit to Accepting OUR or Accepting College.**
Accepting OUR issues the Provisional Admission Slip to the student and reflects changes in SAIS/CRS; and requests Home OUR for transfer credentials. Once cleared, Home OUR deactivates student’s SAIS/CRS.
Home OUR transmits transfer credentials to the Accepting OUR.
NOTE: Upon issuance of admission slip, student should apply for Advance Credit without Validation as applicable.
Student accomplishes application form and submits required documents to the OUR* on or before the set deadline. For local students, click this application form. For international or non-Filipino students, click this application form.

If the medium of instruction in a previous school is not English, TOEFL Result with any of the ff. scores: paper-based-500, computer based-173, IBT -61 or IELTS -5.5 is required.
If there is a gap in enrollment, a Certificate of Non- enrollment is required stating the particular semester/AY that the student was not enrolled.
OUR screens the application - in compliance with the 33-unit requirement and General Weighted Average of 2.0; and refers all qualified applicants to the respective Colleges.
College evaluates screened applicants, notifies students of results whether accepted or not, and submits the list of accepted applicants to the OUR.
OUR issues provisional admission slip to successful applicants subject to submission of the following documentary requirements:

Honorable Dismissal/Transfer Credential
Medical Certificate from the UPHS
Photocopy of PSA-Birth Certificate, original to be presented
Photocopy of PSA-Marriage Certificate, original to be presented (if married woman)
Study permit from OSA, if foreign student
For International Students:
OUR informs the International Students’ Program of the Office of Student Affairs.
OUR notifies the applicant of admission by email. The OUR informs the applicant of the requirements needed for enrollment. A scanned copy of his/her Acceptance Letter is sent via email with instructions that he/she needs to get in touch with the International Students’ Program of the Office of Student Affairs regarding the processing of student visa.
Accepted Foreign Applicants are advised to arrive in the Philippines at least 2 months before registration time to process their student visa. They will be assisted by the International Students’ Program of the Office of Student Affairs.
