Once you visited the Mexican Consulate, provide the required documents, and got your pre-approved Visa in your Passport. This Pre-Approved Visa is valid for entry into Mexico only 1 time and you must enter Mexico within 180 days of issuance. Once in Mexico you have 30 Days to report to your local INM Office to begin the final process to complete the Visa. The process must be carried out in the city of your campus. When you arrive in Mexico, you have 30 calendar days to make an appointment and go to the National Migration Institute (INM) to obtain your status as a temporary resident student. This document will be the one that certifies your legal stay in the country.
IMPORTANT:
You have 30 calendar days from your entry into Mexico to carry out this process. If you don´t do it during this period, you must leave the country immediatly to fix your legal condition from abroad.
To enter and leave the country you will need to present it.
The INM closes at 1:00 p.m. We recommend that you arrive on time for your appointment.
Make the appointment as soon as you arrive to Mexico, because sometimes the waiting time may exceed the 30 days you have to make this process.
Write exactly the full names and surnames with which the person is being identified foreigner in the processing request. (Regardless of the number of names and surnames);

In case you need an additional copy or printing of a document that you missed, you will find outside the INM, options to do it.
It is important to bring some cash just in case you need to pay for the printings or copies.
