Ingeborg Schwenzer is Professor emerita of Private Law at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia, and has been an adjunct professor at City University, Hong Kong, and at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia.
She has published numerous books and more than 200 articles in the fields of law of obligations (contracts, tort law and unjust enrichment, sales law both domestic and international), commercial arbitration as well as family law. In particular, she is the editor and main contributor of the world's leading Commentary on the Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) (4th edition, Oxford, OUP: 2016) and its German, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish counterparts.
From 2011 to 2018 Ingeborg Schwenzer has been the chair of the CISG Advisory Council. She is also active in all areas of legal practice. In particular, she regularly acts as arbitrator, counsel and legal expert in international disputes.
Dr. Shu Zhang is a senior lecturer in commercial law at Deakin Law School, Deakin University (Australia) and one of the Editors-in-Chief of the Vindobona Journal of International Commercial Law and Arbitration. Prior to joining Deakin Law School, Dr. Zhang was a postdoctoral fellow in the Chinese International Business and Economic Law Initiative, Law School, University of New South Wales (Australia). Her research interests include international commercial law, dispute resolution and international arbitration, as well as comparative contract law. She is also admitted to practice in New South Wales, Australia. Dr. Zhang obtained her Ph.D. in Law from University of New South Wales (Australia), and her LLM, LLB and BA in Economics (Double Degree) from Peking University (China). She has published various manuscripts with leading journals in this area, such as the Journal of Contract Law and China Quarterly.
Dr. Gloria M. Alvarez, FCIArb, is a qualified Mexican lawyer and a leading academic in international arbitration. She is a dual Mexican and US national and holds both a master's and a doctorate degree from the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary University of London.
She is the founding partner of GM Arbitration, with a presence in Mexico City and London, where she serves as an independent arbitrator, arbitration secretary and expert in dispute resolution under various institutions, including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and CANACO.
Dr Alvarez is an Associate Professor in Dispute Resolution and Energy Law at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom and a Visiting Professor at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and Osgoode Hall Law School (Canada). She is a member of the steering committee for the Academic Forum for the UNCITRAL Working Group III and sits at the editorial board of ICSID Review and the Journal of International Arbitration.
Her notable publications include ICSID Practical Commentary, Energy Arbitration in Latin America and the Routledge Handbook on Energy Law. Her work has been quoted by national courts and international tribunals.
Since 2023, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation has included Dr Álvarez in its list of 'Mexican Women in Science’. She is also the co-founder of Arbitration Links, an initiative to promote free knowledge of international arbitration in Mexico. In 2024, Gloria was selected to take part in the prestigious ICC Academy for Latin America and the Special Editor on Energy Transition and Investment Arbitration for ICSID Review.
Paul is a Venezuelan lawyer specialized in alternative dispute resolution.
Paul joined the ICC International Court of Arbitration in 2015 as Deputy Counsel in the case management team for Latin America, Spain and Portugal, based in Paris, France. He currently serves as Counsel to the North American team, a position he has held since July 2020. Paul leads the case management team that manages arbitrations with ties to North America based in New York, USA, which averages 190 ongoing arbitrations per year arising from disputes related to all industrial sectors, especially in energy, construction, pharmaceutical and telecommunications matters.
Paul studied law in Venezuela, Spain and France, and holds a Master's degree in Economic Law from the French law school Sciences Po.
Prior to joining the ICC, Paul worked in the international arbitration practice of global law firms in Paris, Geneva and London. Paul is Counsel to the ICC International Court of Arbitration case management team for North America.
Alejandro Solares is a partner and leader of the Dispute Resolution practice at Alta, a Central American firm. He has more than 15 years of experience in international arbitration and litigation, and has focused his practice on commercial and financial disputes and in the energy, mining, hydrocarbon, corporate and shareholder conflicts sectors. He is a current member of the ICC Court of Arbitration appointed by Guatemala, and president of the Guatemalan Arbitration Association. She has also been a professor of Economic Administrative Law, Public Utilities Regulation, and Public-Private Partnerships at San Marcos National University, UPC University, and the Professional Training Program in Telecommunications organized by the Supervisory Board for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL).
Dr. José A. Moreno Rodríguez founded Altra Legal in 2014, after leading a prominent Paraguayan firm for over 20 years. He is a highly regarded arbitrator with extensive experience in international contracting, banking, energy, telecoms, M&A, and related fields. He has taught at universities in Paraguay and abroad, including Heidelberg, Paris 2, and the Hague Academy.
In arbitration, he is a member of the ICC Arbitration Court, ICSID Annulment Committees, PCA, CAS, AMCHAM Peru, and various arbitration institutions worldwide. He has been involved in global codification efforts and is on Unidroit's Governing Council, chairing groups on investment contracts. He was a delegate to UNCITRAL and a member of the Hague Principles Working Group.
Yanett Quiroz Valdovinos was recently promoted to Vice President of the ICDR-AAA, overseeing Mexico, Canada and the Central and West sides of the United States, and the Energy sector. She will oversee the outreach and development of these regions and sectors. She is located at the Houston office. Before becoming a Vice President, she was Director of the ICDR-AAA for almost ten years and provided case management services to parties and clients worldwide.
Yanett is an attorney licensed in Mexico. She holds a Law and International Master’s degree from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. She is a member of the Mexican Bar (BMA) and of the National Association of Corporate Counsel (ANADE).
From 2006 to 2014, she served as the Secretary General for the Mediation and Arbitration Commission of the Mexico City National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO).
While in Mexico, she taught ADR at Universidad La Salle, Universidad Panamericana, and Universidad Anahuac. She has also been invited as a professor to the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Luis Sibaja holds a law degree from UACA in Costa Rica, a specialization on international trade from UCR, and a LLM on international litigation and business law (from American University). Also, he has postgraduate studies in private international law (at Universidad de Salamanca) and construction law (at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). Has been trained in dispute prevention and resolution in construction projects (as DAB), and has completed specialized courses in international arbitration, including at the ELD-ICC Mexico program, University of Leiden / PCA in The Hague and the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy. He has also taught private international law and authored publications on international litigation and arbitration.
After working as a researcher, consultant, and lawyer in Costa Rica and the US, he joined LEXCOUNSEL, a law firm in San José. There he established his practice on legal consulting and dispute resolution in areas such as international trade, foreign investment, business transactions and construction projects. He has extensive experience in domestic and international litigation and arbitration, focusing on complex commercial disputes between companies and with the State. He has managed numerous court and arbitration cases, and serves as an arbitrator in major arbitration centers.
In 2024, he launched Dispute Intelligence, an initiative focused on ADR, fostering dispute prevention, negotiation and arbitration.
Daniela Corchuelo is an attorney graduated from Universidad Externado de Colombia and holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. She is a Partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz and her practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration.
She is a professor at the Procedural Law Department of Universidad Externado de Colombia, where she teaches evidence law in the undergraduate program, and arbitration at both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. She is a member of the Colombian Institute of Procedural Law, the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB) and the Arbitration Commission of the ICC Colombian National Committee.
Roberto Hernández-Garcia is an international construction law professional based in Mexico City. He is main partner of COMAD, law firm in Mexico City. He has experience in 11 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean acting as counsel, consultant, dispute board and arbitrator in high profile engineering and construction projects. He is certified by examination by FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) as trainer and adjudicator of the basic FIDIC suite contracts (Red, yellow, silver, and white books). He is author of 3 books on construction law and dispute resolution. As an arbitrator he has acted under LCIA, ICC, ICDR and ICSID rules and institutions. Luisa Renata del Carmen Duarte holds a law degree from the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara, where she graduated with honors, with the thesis "Ethical Standards in the United Nations Conventions on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG)." She also received the Ceneval Award for Excellence in 2021.
Currently an associate lawyer at Zepeda Estrada Abogados where she leads the Corporate and M&A, as well as the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) departments. She is currently the Regional Coordinator in Jalisco for the Forum of Young People in Arbitration CAM/ CANACO, playing an important role in promoting arbitration practices.

Gustavo Morante holds a law degree with honors from Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Campus, and a Master’s degree in Business Law, also with honors, from the same university. He is a professor of Civil Contracts and Commercial Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law of Universidad Panamericana.

Cesar Pereira C.Arb FCiarb is a partner at Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini, São Paulo (Brazil), and co-head of his firm’s infrastructure and arbitration practices. UIA) and France (DEUF, Lyon III), followed by two Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees—one from the University of Liverpool, UK, and another from the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He also holds a Doctor of Laws (Ph.D.), summa cum laude, from Basel University, Switzerland.
