I am a committed believer of Einstein’s say “a student is not a cup to be filled, is a torch to be ignited!” I also a full confident that a student is granted grades base on his/her academic merit regardless of any other privilege he/ she might have!! I do look forward to students as unique boxed awards that I am eager to help them and can’t wait to release them. My role is to bring them a motivating educational environment where every personnel voluntary grows mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. It is my moral obligation to create an atmosphere that makes my only highest expectations about every student comes true.
I believe students can learn better and do their best if they have good environment an find their instructor a good role model to be followed. Establishing a good teaching media requires the cooperation between concerned parties, students and the instructor. As instructor, I proudly love to encourage my students, grant them my trust, give them second chance, and be patient to their progress and adaptation to the environment.
An instructor should be aware and knowledgeable to class/s is teaching. He/she should have adequate visual and technical skills. Engaging in abroad studies and international conferences armed me with these merits, so I can accommodate people of different levels of knowledge and cultures. I also have taken classes such as pedagogy, modern teaching methods, and few more. These classes supported me with more applicable skills to manage a class properly and control my stress!
I have taught in countries where higher education is paid and free. For paid higher education, I believe most students have the motivation to learn and can learn, whilst in free higher education countries when all students feel entitled to this privilege some of them do not have the desire to pay efforts; thus, engaging these towards learning path requires the instructor to take extra hard work to help them have the desire to learn rather than the privilege.
I am owed to my students to applicable knowledge that is based on (remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, Creating). I am a dedicated person to revised Blooming taxonomy. I found it an efficient practice in my classes.
I am definitely as other most people who believes that Learning System is a triangle whose sides are, Student, Instructor, and Resources. Having a good combination of these sides in terms of quality and availability can resulti n fabulous achievements.
I intended to use the term Learning System and since each class has its own circumstances and each subject has its specific meets as I believe. So, feedback is a very important thing to create a good system. The purpose of feedback is to always check input signal (my explanation to students) and actuating signal (students’ responses) to adjust defects if available!
In my opinion, the success of teaching process requires instructor and students to work together to make instructor’s goals and students’ development come true. Achieving this involves creating a good communication channel between students and the instructor. It also, requires the instructor to take students’ feedback about each session in consideration and find a good remedy for each complain. I believe assessing each session is a must to check whether students’ understanding and teacher’s explanations is divergent or convergent! I look to transfer two important things to my students: the ability of solving a problem and the desire of continuous learning!!
