“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. This is a quote by Nelson mandela. My philosophy as a teacher is easy. It consists of three simple things; respect, education and knowledge.
Respect is one of the most important things for any person to have. It starts from the teacher himself. It is achieved by showing the respect to others, without considering the age, social status, religion and race. Every teacher should consider that the student’s come from different families and different backgrounds. It should be expected that they will not respond the same to your interactions. However, the time and teacher’s good behavior and forgiveness will make them realize the things you intend to teach them.
Education for me is not only to teach students what they are suppose to be learning, but to teach them to find their way. To teach them so that if the teacher disappeared. They will not get confused. It is to teach them to recognize and use the tools around them to get to where they want to be. To break the boundaries they’ve put in place which keep them from doing great things and keep them from innovating and inventing. To realize their unlimited potential.
Knowledge is what makes the aforementioned possible. A teacher can help students get knowledge by showing them the importance of the knowledge. by being a model for them. by helping them get resources. explain the little things that stop them from going forward. By using every tool possible to introduce them to the best knowledge and the most updated one.
