All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors should ensure that abstracts are not plagiarised (including self-plagiarism).
Modification of an abstract will not be allowed after it has been reviewed and accepted. This includes the addition of author/s.
Abstracts will be checked for similarity. Those with similarity greater than 30% overall and greater than 1% from one source, excluding references, will not be considered and must be revised.
Authors are advised not to use AI tools to write abstracts completely.
An abstract which has previously been published in a journal or book of abstracts will not be considered, unless the abstract is paraphrased and cited.
Accepted abstracts for presentations will be collected in the book of abstracts and will be circulated in PDF.
Abstracts related to the conference topics should be submitted using the online submission system only.
An abstract (including references) should not exceed 400 words.
All figures and tables should have a caption.
Author details provided upon submission of abstracts will be used exactly as provided in abstracts and in certificates. It will not be possible to modify/add/remove author details after the submission is completed. Note that the first name and surname should be provided in full and middle name should be abbreviated.
If there are references, please use the following format and ensure that each reference is cited (number in square brackets) in the abstract.

The presentation should be a video (20-30 minutes) (Video should be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, amongst others).

So far, we have received 100 abstracts from 30 countries.
There will be three awards for 3 best presentations for student/early career scientist (excluding keynote). Each awardee will be provided with a certificate and a book voucher from the RSC.
The following conditions are applicable;
1) Student/early career scientist
2) An early career scientist, no more than 6 years should have elapsed from the attainment of the PhD
3) Must be a registered participant with abstract for VCCA-2026 and be the presenting author of VCCA-2026
4) Should be agreeable to contribute to a full paper for the proceedings of VCCA-2026
5) Should be agreeable for a public announcement being the awardee
Presentations will be judged by three independent scientists. The criteria for evaluating the presentations will be in terms of scientific contents, innovation of the research and efficiency to communicate the research findings scientifically in written or video format. Decisions of the three judges will be final, cannot be contested and there may not be any awardees.
