Global research has increasingly focused on plant responses to the interaction between microbes and the environment. The factors determining disease outcomes are of significant importance. Our lab's research interests include microbe-associated molecular pattern (MAMP) and pathogen-associated molecular pattern (PAMP) recognition, R protein function, and the subsequent signaling pathways leading to plant defense gene expression as a result of these interactions.
