This is an interdisciplinary learning experience involving multiple research organisations in the UK and in India. I am one of the co-investigators.

Srijit Mishra et al (27 Feb 2017-10 Sep 2020, refers to my association) Special Programme for Revival of Millets in Tribal areas of Odisha (Odisha Millets Mission) is an action research study initiated during my secondment as Director, NCDS, which has been funded by Government of Odisha. Many reports and policy briefs have been put up till September 2020. The programme has continued and has received National and Global acclaim, including in the year of International Year of Millets.

Hippu Salk Kristle Nathan and Srijit Mishra (2016) Inclusiveness of Human Development in India, Global Development Network, New Delhi. This examines the different parameters of human development – health, education and livelihood – among different sub-groups like gender or rural-urban over time and across states of India to evaluate their inclusiveness.

Srijit Mishra and Nirmal Sengupta (2013) Impact Assessment Study of PRADAN’s Interventions at the Grassroots, PRADAN, New Delhi. The study examined and evaluated PRADAN’s work. It has an important methodological contribution to evaluate impact of organisations working for rural development and to understand the challenges that they face leading to suggestions and introspection within the organisation.

Srijit Mishra (2006) Suicide of Farmers in Maharashtra, Government of Maharashtra. This was a systematic study involving households, communities and other stakeholders. The suggestions were implemented by the Government of Maharashtra as ‘Vasantrao Naik Ksheti Swalambhan Mission’ as also leading to other initiatives by the Government of India.
