Currently, Radwan is an assistant professor of medicinal organic chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Benghazi, and also works part-time at PharmD, Faculty of Pharmacy, Libyan International Medical University.
Radwan was born in Benghazi, Libya. He graduated from the University of Benghazi with a B.Sc. in chemistry in 2009 (first in his class) and an M.Sc. in synthetic organic chemistry in 2013.
Since 2013, Radwan has served as an assistant lecturer in organic chemistry, teaching courses in organic and general chemistry. In 2024, he was promoted to the rank of assistant professor in organic chemistry.
In December 2023, Radwan completed his PhD on developing a drug candidate for neglected tropical diseases, with a focus on malaria, under the guidance of Kelly Chibale's group at the University of Cape Town.
As of January 2024, Radwan became the head of the CADD Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy, LIMU.
